I Need to Feel Like I've Done Something Worthwhile Today
Kindly take a peek at Doralong's post for today for an action you can take regarding healthy school lunches and the feds. Unless, like Mr. Bush, you don't give a rat's patootie about having healthy American children.
It's not like they are the future or anything.

I stopped over at doralong's and signed the petition...Take that Georgie!
Sling, when was the last time that I told you that you rock?
I'll sign it.Today I witnessed a child at my son's school pour chocolate milk over her cocoa puffs. Poor girl.
Thanks Lorraine! The more on board the better.. Since we're not going to bother to insure them, we damn well better keep them healthy!
Thanks, Leah. And yikes.
You're welcome, D. You know I'd do anything for Jackie.
I have signed. Because I think it's positively shameful that there even needs to be a petition asking that schools feed children healthy food rather than processed crap.
Hi, I have no Congresspeople. But I'll sign anyway; what the hell. I enjoy a little activism with my after-dinner adult beverage.
Kids have been the biggest under-the-radar victims of the Bush administration. Over and over and over again. I heard a senior Republican 'explain' the insurance veto to me, stupid Ms. American. Apparently, Mr. Bush objected to the far reaching coverage that would entitle families making up to $80K access. If children of families making that much NEED insurance, then they damned well ought to get it. Yah. That's what I think because what shows up on tax returns is no way to measure the care a child is receiving.
Oh. Sorry. I'm going to sign up for good lunches.
I'm with Syd - why on earth should there even need to be a petition? Oh yeah, I forgot, this from the folks that brought us "ketchup is a vegetable". Right...
