Ah-ah-choooooo
I need bacon. Specifically, I need bacon fat. Oh, yes I do. Because I have 4 tomatoes in my garden that are never going to ripen and they need to be fried.
I sit so wrong on my desk chair that it isn't even funny. I'm going to cripple myself. My friend Julie says I should get one of those big balls to sit on because it would force me to sit properly. But then I couldn't pull one leg under myself and stick the other one up on my desk when I play SimCity. Apparently I'm not overly concerned about the cripple thing.
I miss JP. I want him to move to Seattle.
The Child is playing volleyball with Bad Coach. Last week only 6 girls showed up for the game so he had to play everyone. It must have killed him. It probably bugged him even more that The Child pretty much single handedly scored every point in their first game, got all her serves over and was generally not making any mistakes. And his 3 favorite players were largely useless. Hi, the ball is at the net. It's called spiking.
My kitchen is clean.
My cold makes me snore. Last night The Spouse hit me. Then I was afraid to fall back asleep. Even though he was snoring. I need my own room.
The season premiere of "Brothers and Sisters" was really good. I think there's a Cindy Sheehan storyline coming up for Sally Field. The Hat thinks I look like Rachael Griffiths. I wish.
I miss Chicago. I coul really go for the view from the Balcony of Terror about now.
I'm going to go see my baby tomorrow. He misses me. I love him.

We were discussing the whole "separate bedrooms" thing last night and everybody made fun of me. I stand by my remarks, which you and I have discussed and areed upon.

Well, now Bad Coach has seen what she can do, not just in practice, but under pressure. Male Offspring made touchdowns in 2 games, and then the coach didn't put him in for the last game. I don't want to become one of Those Parents, so I haven't said anything, but it makes no sense.
Separate bedrooms makes perfect sense. My last long term relationship was with a snorer. Seriously, I can not believe how much it affected me. I believe it had a good deal to with the relationship ending. tHat's a whole post in itself. Who came up with the idea that we have no private individual space just because we have a partner? Society's norms need some seriousl revamping, IMHO.
I tried tomatoes a couple of summers back. They didn't ripen. There's something inherently wrong with that.
Seriously, I laid in bed last night trying to figure out how to reconfigure our house so I could have my own room. It would never work, alas. If The Child comes through on her vow to move out the second she turns 18 I'll be able to take over her room. Assuming the marriage lasts that long.

Your baby misses you. And per my earlier email, he was fast asleep when I noticed him smiling and laughing about something in his dreams. He was either dreaming about you or bacon fat, one of the two. (Aaah, bacon drippings...the fat of my people.)
You also looked like Julia Roberts in your wedding pictures. I wonder what actress you will most resemble in another ten years?

Guess what, I sit on one of those massive balls and, yes, it does mean I can't tuck legs/feet/toes anywhere... BUT the reason why I HAD to get the ball was because my constant sitting contributed to a partially slipped disk which caused me weeks of apocalyptic agony... so don't allow yourself to grind into crippledom: sit properly!
"Snorage room"...I like that, Rosie. And I like bacon fat. Sad but true. I don't eat it every day, though. I just think about it.

Wasn't Brothers & Sisters great? And yes, the previews for next week look ominous. I wonder if what looks like will happen will actually happen and whether or not Kitty's views on the war will change if it does, leading to some friction in the her relationship with the Future President who so won't win because this show was never meant to be the next West Wing.
I also love Dirty Sexy Money this year. Anyone else watching?
I suppose those previews could have been a dream sequence or something like that. And it looks like their going to mess up the Kitty-future President storyline with or without Kitty changing her views. Plus, much as I love Rob Lowe, I think it would be a real stretch to have a White House storyline. Of course, they could stay together and he could lose the election. Republicans losing Presidential elections: me likey.
