Forgot to Mention

Yesterday I saw a man walking a ferret. He was wearing cut offs and white socks with black shoes (shudder). The man, silly, not the ferret. The ferret was naked.

It was just cool because sometimes I forget to notice the quirky and the fabulous as it roams around me. Yesterday I paid attention and I was rewarded with a man walking a ferret.

How very ... odd.

I like to appreciate new and different and ... odd ... things, but when it comes to household pets, I can't see much beyond your standard dog and standard cat. Anything else is just a bit too ... much. For me.

Boring, I know.

Happy happy blogoversary!!!

Odd indeed. I think ferrets are weird. But it made me happy to see it nonetheless.

We have a town close by that (not sure how to e xplain it) harbors the strange?

We were up there a few weeks ago and there was a man with a monkey walking, riding, jumping around.

There was also a man with a stick through his nose but the monkey was more fun to watch...

You know, there are some people who require "Emotional Support Animals" and ferrets are indeed one of the animals they use.
So, next time you're on an airplane and a ferret leaps into your lap, no worry. Just know that it's probably an Emotional Support Ferret.

Oh, and in the Latino neighborhood where I use to live, the hardware stores were called "ferreterias" (iron = ferrous). Every time I would see that, I'd immediately think of a cafeteria that served ferrets. That's just me.
