A Food Note

The Dog is now 6-0 for rat slaying. His latest conquest came right after the Autumnal Feast ended last night.

Hit it out of the park, btw, on the feasting. Except I forgot to take pictures of almost everything. And the pictures I did take, Blogger apparently doesn't want you to see.

So I'm going to scrape more goose fat off the surfaces of my kitchen and try again tomorrow.

(Btw, The Spouse is making French onion soup for dinner. I am sooooooo excited for it's toasty cheesy goodness).

Ooo, do you have the recipe for French Onion soup? We're looking for a recipe that isn't loaded with 50,000 mg of sodium. :)

Thanks!

MHP,
Stupidly simple in execution and design.

In a large pot cook down about jullianne onions till they begin to carmalize.

Pour into this equal parts Chicken and Beef stock. You can make it yourself of buy the little boxes of premade stuff, In that case about one qt each

get some nice crusty bread and slice it into inch slices, brush with Olive oil and toast till browned in a hot oven 400 degrees.

Grate up some gouda and parmasean cheese.
Spin up the broiler. Ladel the soup into oven safe bowls. make a raft of the croutons, slather with the cheese
Broil till cheese is meleted and ever so slightly browned.
Serve with left over bread, butter and salad

Anonymous - you are a pathetic excuse for a human being

Good dog, good dog.

Sling, you're obviously slacking in some regard and it sounds like some tough love is required to get those cats back on pace.

MHP...what The Spouse says. Delish.

Honey, thanks for helping MHP. And now you're comment is lame because I deleted the idiot spammer who has found my blog.
