Baby, It's Cold Outside
It is, as The Spouse describes it, "punch you in the face cold". We got about 2 inches of snow on Sunday. The roads are clear...there's just a little ice around here (it's worse in other places)...but more snow is predicted.
I hope it doesn't snow. If it does it will be impossible to go to Mr. Stewart's funeral and I'd like to be there for Martha. Not to mention, there's a school concert on Wednesday and I still have some Christmas shopping to do. Like, a lot, actually.
But the snow is so pretty, the sky so clear, the moon so bright. You gotta like that. Especially when the house is so toasty warm and the coffee good and hot.

come on over dear friend. We have -6 temps, lots of snow and icy roads, idiot drivers and a warm toasty house with spiked eggnog. The heater is a bit messed up but it still flames and we could talk long into the night about fun places and people and reminisce....of concertinas and a possible real visit.
Ba Ha Ha Ha (Note no w)
Ya, Seattle does not like snow. Way too many hills that are way too steep.
But ya when its pretty its stunning.
(Had a tourist describe the view that way the other day and had never thought of it that way myself, a good description though - stunning.)
Peace, Love Harmony and Beautiful Thoughts again to your sister and the family.
Peace
:+}
Hummingbirds are mad because the sugar water is frozen in the morning, so we keep an extra feeder now and switch them first thing. My husband says if I just put it in front of the coffee machine he'll remember to do it when he gets up (always earlier than I get up). Stay warm, Lorraine!
Oh a cold and frosty day with a toasty house and spiked coffee and peanut butter cookies..that sounds perfect.
Just caught up with the news of Mr Stewart's passing. He sounded like a lovely man.
Life is all in God's hands. Enjoy the coffee and all of life's pleasures. God will take care of the details.
Peace to you.
I love the coffee at your place.
heh heh..punch in the face cold...gets right to the point..
This morning was "punch in the face" cold -10, not bad really.
Monday morning was "punch in the face, then reach down your throat pull out the lungs and do a mexican hat dance on them" cold..with wind chill was -43 below. But hey...its almost CHRISTMAS!! WOOO HOOO. (Teachers and staff all shout CHRISTMAS BREAK KIDDIES,HIT THE PAVEMENT!!)
I want to trim a palm tree this year with a fresh blanket of sand under the moon..
i love that song
We haven't had snow yet, and I'd like it to hold off until we're out of town.
Pie at my house! Stop by for a visit.
