Flash Fiction?

"Oh crap!" she exclaimed, suddenly realizing that the bread-and-butter pudding had been in the oven too long.

She raced across the kitchen, only to discover that the pudding was still on the counter and further, she had failed to raise the temperature of the oven from 350° (at which she'd baked the banana bread) to the requisite 400° for the pudding.

She was relieved to know that the pudding wasn't ruined but wondered, and not for the first time, if there might not be a little calcium build up in her brain.

bread and butter pudding!?! thank god it wasn't ruined.

now you'll just have to substitute that glass of milk you were going to have with the pudding with say...i don't know, a martini perhaps?

that should solve that calcium build up problem.

;-}

No kidding, Danny. I love that stuff.

Gin as cure for calcium deposits in the brain. I did not know that. How convenient.

Anne, Me? I was writing. The character in this fine and entirely fictional tale is a beleagured housewife who was, oh, I don't know...let's say that after a hectic day of shopping, cleaning and baking she was...uh, oh, let's say she was playing Sims2. It's really not essential to the tale, goes more to the subtext of the character. You know.

B & B pudding is one of my favorites as well. I'll bet it's great with a side of Sortilege. The mind reels. . .

bread and butter pudding and banana bread in one day? I want to live at your house. I would totally love to be hooked up with the Blackbird Pond book, mine didn't make it over here with me...

Buck, I didn't even think of that. Fortunately, there is enough pudd left for dessert tonight.

Cuz, you too? It's driving me nuts.

Nicole, done. (And you can live in my house any time but you have to make sorbet and stuff).

I don't think I've ever had bread and butter pudding...or is that what people sometimes refer to as just "bread pudding"??

Is the recipe for the pudding available at "Here's the Dish"? Must go check...

But first must mop drool off keyboard...

Sims.. Sims... or I'm sorry I thought you said you were drinking Pimms... its a little early in the season but that could account for the momentary loss in memory.

God I haven't had bread pudding in.... too long...
