Helpful Auntie

This is a test post. I am teaching my brilliant niece Emma, who I call Jane Austen, how to embed things in her blog. Please be patient.

Here's something about her you probably don't know. She loves Jim Halpert. She is a lot like her auntie.

Another thing you should know about her is that she really loves music. Like this song by Queen and David Bowie. Oh, that girl. She loves the classics. I adore that about her.

Queen & David Bowie "Under Pressure"

I enjoy my niece very much. When she was little she was my favorite. She used to come and spend the weekend with us. I have many cute stories about that. Like the time we took her to see "Aladdin". She was all of 3. She was scared of Jafar and spent most of the movie on my lap. She thought it was a little icky when Aladdin and Jasmine were taking a shine to each other but at the end of the movie, when they kissed, she clapped her little hands and exclaimed, "Oooh! Pretty! Pretty!"

She was adorable.

She also had quite a thing for Wendy in Peter Pan and she could walk a plank with the most impressive air of little girl bravery you ever did see. Yep. Ador. A. Bul.

Now she's grown up and she's still quite adorable. Smart and funny and ever so talented. I'm very proud of her.

Now she can be proud of me, too, because I've shown her nifty tricks for enhancing her blog experience.

Thank you for your patience.

I'll get to you in May, Rosie.

Oh, JP. You never forget, do you? Yes, sadly. The only thing about her that is not adorable.

K, I am so the niece that loves "Come on Eileen". I want to walk down the aisle to it, that is how great my love goes.

Sling, what I think is cool is that one can be wiser and helpful without being old. You, me...it's like we were born with this stuff.

Suz, it's actually pretty easy, what with us having such sweet niecelets.

Why, of course I will, Willym and of course I'll feed you and I'll even send you gifts on your birthday (no, I won't...ask any of the nieces...I never do that) and of course, there will be the annual "Auntie's Extended Stay in Roma with Her Nephew". Tradition and all that.

And you're welcome.

Emma, right, right...it was the other Jane Austen that didn't like "Come On, Eileen". I would be honored to sing it for you as you come down the aisle, if you'd like. Which of course, you would.

Oooh!! And "Come What May" for the recessional! Oh, man. It's going to be a beautiful wedding.

In 6 or 7 years.

After you've graduated college.

And travelled.

And worked for a little bit.

And found a really excellent guy who is worthy of you.

Just saying.

Sounds good to me. Now how will I explain an Aunt who 35 years younger than I am...

I am the very very much younger sister of your father or mother. Take your pick. Could happen. Assuming your grandparents started having children when they were 8.
