Show Of Hands, Please

Ever brush your teeth and have the toothbrush slip and nail yourself right where the inside of your upper lip meets the gum and it really hurts?

Did you look at the calendar today and say, "Thank God! The last day of February!" And then did you make a little motion like you were rolling dice and say, "Come on, March!"?

Do you ever have a button go missing from a dress or a shirt and so you put the aforementioned article of clothing aside with the intention of reattaching the button right away, like when you are watching "Gilmore girls" but you don't and you don't and you don't until you forget you even owned that dress/shirt?

Did you know that they killed off Alan Quartermain on "General Hospital"?

Me neither.

Did you ever have a day when you looked at the calendar and realized it was the anniversary of your father's death? It's supernice when that happens. Almost as nice as hitting your gumline with your toothbrush.

Aw, Pookie...I was just thinking about that yesterday (obviously my internal clock is off by a day). Hugs.

Haven't in months and I didn't even manage to watch the one last week that you told me I should watch but yesterday I had ironing to do. I spent most of the show going, "What? Elizabeth is pregnant with... What? Carly and Sonny are married again...What? Tracy is actually be sympathetic...What? Emily and Nicholas are back together...WHAT???"

And Robin got shot?

Alas and alack...not a sign of Dr. Drake.

I've done the thing with the toothbrush as well.
Regarding buttons, I just tell the dry cleaner, "Here. Do this."

Funny you should mention, Jon. I dropped off some dry cleaning today and noticed that the woman in the shop was tailoring a pair of pants and I thought, "Hmmmm..."

So silly.
It's true.

Massive coronary, brought on by a hostage taking during which (apparently) Robin Scorpio was shot and someone had to operate on her with a bread knife or something. I really need a DVR.

Sadie: a) Hi! and 2) I know, right? Geez, Monica hasn't had a story line since she had breast cancer 412 years ago. I'm thinking a new love interest...perhaps a certain Dr. Drake?

Sling: You never cease to amaze me. Unless you're actually a boring Methodist minister and you're just making this shit up.

The kamikaze toothbrush is one of life's worst occurences. I think it can be directly blamed for the high percentage of folks who just don't brush at all.

I'm always happy to see the last day of February. And twice in leap years.

I have a blouse with some sequin-y things on it that I really like (it's kind of retro and stylish) so two summers ago I hung it on a back corner of my armoire. Guess what? It's still there.

Who the ding dang is Alan Quartermain?

SCG - I know that feeling only too well, but it's my mom's death. Sorry for the loss.

Lorraine - I used to do that toothbrush thing regularly until I got a Sonicare toothbrush. And yes, I did that just today. As for GH, I was shocked to see that Luke & Laura got married again, and that there's something wrong with her? Don't watch, so don't know, but that part made other mags.
