Enough of this Fooling Around

I've been in Huddle Mode the last couple of days, what with all the heat and the power and internets, all the good things that have been restored to moi. But enough is enough. I have about 412 things to accomplish today, mostly to get ready for Christmas. (And no, 412 isn't a code...it's just my favorite number).

My BIL is due to arrive any minute to return the frozen meat that he took from us during The Crisis. I didn't expect him to give it back but now I'm relieved because there was some good meat that now won't have to be replaced. Little blessings.

I'm glad The Child is around to help with everything. She's a good helper. Of course, later in the afternoon I'm going to have to get rid of her because I need to wrap Christmas presents and in so doing take an inventory in case there's anything I forgot. I don't think all the 12 days are covered yet. But that's what tomorrow is for.

So off I go. What's on your agenda today?

i love you. My agenda: empty. And I'm excited. I met the governor last night. She shook my hand and I introduced myself. My choir sang at her dinner party. It was awesome. And I met a cute boy... Shh, I didn't tell you that.

I have a frakkin Christmas party to go to for work. Frankly, I'd rather be at the dentist.

I was dashing about like a madwoman first thing this AM getting my folks' last little presents and gift bags to put them in so my Son-in-law can deliver them for me (they live in Montana and he goes close to where they live, so they'll meet him part way). Then have lunch with best friend today to exchange our gifts - and I have yet to wrap hers - or the gifts for my coworkers. Not to mention today is drop dead day at work for a project I've been working on for a month....so I have a pretty full agenda. Spouse is working 12 hour days delivering Christmas presents to all the last minute shoppers (gotta love FedEx). Youngest Son is enjoying sleeping in, staying up late, and basically slacking while home on break. Do you think he could wrap a present or two? Heck no.

Me? I'm single, work from home and have a cat. That's pretty much my agenda on any given day. Although, last night I did make a thurmos of cocoa and drove around looking at Christmas lights with the nephews. Good times.

Do you really give the Child a gift each of the 12 days? That's cool. So does she open just one on Christmas?

Mols, I love you, too, and I think it's very cool that you got to meet Christine. And you didn't tell me what? Huh? (wink)

Jon, I will take a moment to pout for you.

Gina, I thought my day was crazy.

That's the spirit, Eva! Sounds rocking to me.

Yep, she gets a little something every day of the 12 days...she gets a stocking and a few "big" presents on Christmas and then little bits throughout the rest of the season. Some of it is pretty standard by now...like a calendar on whatever day is the 31st and usually something twinkly and faux gold on 12th night.

Just loungin around, fixing to go shopping and might drive by a car lot to look at a vehicle I seen there yesterday..

The house is a mess but what the hay, I don't care. If I just unplugg my Web-cam I'm good to go...hehe

A new vehicle for Christmas? Grish has been a good boy! (Or is it Betty that's been a good girl?)

Oh no vehicle here. Not yet anyways. It kind of depends on if I get this job I'm trying out for and a few other things but it's always fun to stop and look..

Today: I'm packing. I'm off to Kansas tomorrow. Would that I could click my heels three times, but that $h!# don't fly when you're wearing practical, non-magical Hush Puppies -- so off to Baltimore Washington International Airport I go. Wish me luck ... and sanity.
