7th of the Photographic Installments

Day 5 was a perky day. Our power had come on the night before, a good 3 hours before the foreman had predicted. The Spouse, who had gone to work on Monday, decided to take a sick day and get to work on reclaiming the wood. The Neighbor had by now left to be with her loin fruit in Montana and I was missing her already. Not to mention that the general let down after all the hooha had left me with very little will to do much of anything. Except take pictures.

Here's The Child, posing with what we now call the Finger Tree.

And this is just to give you some perspective on how many branches came off that thing. Anyone need holiday greenery?

Norbert and John showed up to help The Spouse with the lumberjacking, as did his brother. Everyone was handsomely paid in chili and firewood.

They worked very hard and we now have firewood for years to come.

Himself, taking a well deserved break and surveying his handiwork.

Lumberjacking is the best.
Makes me feel like a man.

I suppose it's lame to admit that we spent a lot of time singing the "Lumberjack Song"?
