Here's Another Thing about the Blue Angels
I forgot to mention something else about having the Blue Angels in town. That would be the ritual attempt to photograph low flying jet fighters as they zoom over my house at speeds of 120-700 mph. Kind of a fool's errand when there's a couple second delay on one's camera. So yesterday, after dozens of futile attempts to point the camera skyward and photographing nothing but, well, sky, I decided to take a picture of my pitiful rosemary supply instead:
Sad, isn't it? Now you understand why The Spouse gets so frustrated with my spendthrift use of it in recipes.

Glenda, Trust me. I know. This plant (which is 9 years old) currently hip high on me (I'm 5'7") and that only because The Spouse took a chain saw to it in the spring.
The Trimming was last fall
I feel your pain I have a good 35mm slr camera but I use my little digital easyshare with the 2 second delay because I don't feel like shelling out all the mula for developing...:P
MAN!..The perfectly executed symetrical formation of your Rosemary is nothing less than awe inspiring!...and the Blue Angels are more or less O.K... ;)
I think it's gorgeous. I adore Rosemary. When you run your hand across it you get the most wonderful smell, and the branches make the best skeweres ever for shish kabob (which I suspect I just mispelled).
Also, there's nothing like a bit of fresh rosemary to cook with some almond slivers in a drop or two of olive oil to brown them. Heaven! Especially on top of meat!
a) I do not know why my husband has to be such a fracking stickler for details. Sheesh. What are you, honey, an engineer?
b) Grish, Exactly. I love so many things about digital photography but there's something really archaic about the whole "holding the pose" thing. Unless I want to shell out the big bugs.
c) Charlie. Lord, it happens all the time. Not to worry. Also, some people hear my name as "Elaine". And the cat has nothing to do with it.
4) Sling, there you go. I knew you'd get it. Atta boy.
And of course, I meant to shell out big "bucks" and not big "bugs". Because that would be gross.
Oh, Diane, Hi! Haven't seen you in a while. Ok, tomorrow I'm so posting a rosemary recipe that will blow your fracking mind! Speaking of skewers.
