Guess How Much We Raised this Morning?
$251, that's how much.
I was all astonishment.
AT's wife MT came to help (and ended up being the big spender of the day), The Child was very cute helping little kindergarteners try on sweaters and, oh, yeah, people showed up. Plus AT left the work party he was at to bring us all hot dogs.
So there you go.

Sounds like a fun and profitable day!
I once had a job that required fundraising.
There were some days when I would have rather just written out the check for $250 rather than go to all the effort it required to raise that much...but since it was in the job description, I always did go to the effort and it felt good to count the profits afterwards...congrats on a job well done. You're a good person.
P.S. My life hasn't allowed for much cooking time lately, but I'm saving up all the recipes...thanks!
Sling, Way more fun than I thought it was going to be. Guess it helps to be surrounded by fun people. Kinda like Blogopia, I guess.
Renee, The biggest irony of my involvement on the Board is the fact that I'd rather chew off my own arm than do "fund raising". But little tiny Catholic schools don't survive without it and at least we do things that are useful (selling uniforms) or fun (karaoke night). I mind it a lot less than I thought I would. But DON'T ask me to sell magazines, gift wrap or candy!
And you're welcome for the recipes...hope y'all are back up and around soon so you can try them.
gratz!
Good job! It's inevitable if a person has kids, to get tagged for fundraising. And it's hard to find things that are needed and wanted by the people you're selling to. Sounds like you and your bunch have some good ideas.
