Britain is one of the worst performing countries in the whole of the 'developed' world as far as school performance goes. Continental European nations are WAY ahead of the UK... and they give their kids at least 10 weeks off for the summer!

No, I'm afraid I continue to think that the British education system has got every single aspect of its holiday policy wrong. Yes, you need to make kids work hard, but you also need to give them PLENTY of time to play hard.
