Cue the Oxytocin
Oxytocin. The hormone secreted when a humanoid sees a little baby something. The thing that makes you - however jaded, cynical, tired - go "aaaahhhhhh" when you see a baby something. You know, something like this:
What? I was born under George Bush? That gives me gas. This one is for Monica.Ladies and gentlemen, Master Charles Maurice.Auntie is superfantastically proud. Just in case you didn't know.

YUMMIE! Oh congrats all around!
I want to smell his wittle wittle head!
It is oh, so fragrant, Hat. If you're lucky, you'll get to smell it at the birthday party.
Awwwwwww ... BABY!!!
(That's really all I have to say at this point ... but truly, what else is there?)
Exactly, Red.
Crikey! Look at the MITTS on that kid!! He's half growed already!
But seriously - what a most wonderful young sir to have handy to bestow your spoiling on, hmmm?
(My favorite part - kissing that soft wispy hair just barely because something so precious is so dreamy.)
So sweet! Sooo sweet. Of course, he hasn't yet discovered how to put toy boats in the toilet or that crayons look supercool on the walls.
Just don't show me the baby shoes...
So, just curious ... is it the Americanized "More-EES" or the more British-sounding "MORE-iss" ... ?
Awwww. He's beautiful. Makes me want to have another. Cute babies lead to more cute babies.
I think I just developed an ovary.
Jlow, no kidding. His fingers are so long he's either going to be a concert pianist or a pickpocket. And his hair is dreamy wisp city...tons of soft blonde hair all over his pointed little head.
Cowbell, I purposely didn't photograph his feet. You're welcome.
That would be the British sounding version, Red. But we just call 'im Charlie. (Sometimes lengthened to the more formal "Wittle itty witty Charlie with the chubber chubber cheeks, yes he is, yes he is" followed by a kiss on the head. Or, you know, just Charlie).
Bad Alice, Back away from the baby shoes....
He is truly beautiful. An advantage of C-section babies, what with the whole not being smooshed in the process thing. He's got a little pointed chin and he just loves his Auntie Raine the mostest of anyone 'cept his mama and papa.
LOL, Buck!
