Tonight

The house is manifesting that bizarre disorder that only happens when no one is really around except to drop stuff and then go somewhere else. Makes me crazy. I've said it before, I'll say it again: I can handle dustbunnies and window smudges but I really like things tidy. So I'd better do something about that before I go retrieve The Child.

Once order is restored and she's back home I'm going to make a Tex-Mex casserole-y thing because nothing says "comfort" to me like a mess yummy stuff layered with corn tortillas and held together with tons of oozy cheese. (Oh. The recipe calls for sharp cheddar. Hmmmm. I have some of that. Some extremely delicious Wisconsin cheddar to be exact).

Another thing that says "comfort" to me, especially after a busy day like today, is sitting down with a plateful of aforementioned texy-mexy stuff, a glass of red wine and the fam to watch a good movie. Don't know what movie. I think we should let the little speech maker decide.

You know what else I like? Thinking about how cute these guys are.

Thanks. I was going to try and work in some sort of reference to being chased in the 3rd world but I just didn't have it in me. So I just went with the "pretty boys" motif.

Well it sounds like your house is going to be where to be. I am every intention of doing the same but going an entirely different direction. Am thinking Rum, vodka and jello atm. All this talk of jello shots recently has got me kerfluxed.

I wonder if it`s against the rules to post pics. :)

Grish, mercy. Have we started something?

Against the rules to post pictures? Here?

Iwanski, I like you liking to comment on the videos.

Ams, Why am I not surprised? Good thing we never spent any time together trolling for men. Something tells me it could have been quite awkward.

I never got the cleaning bug. I can let a mess just sit there until it makes everyone crazy. Last year, I hired a cleaning service because a) my place was a sty, and b) I knew that I'd have to clean up for the maid twice a week. My house still needs a ton of work, and I don't care as much as I should. Will have to noodle on that for a while ...

Let me know when you come up with something, R7E. Because as much as I don't get how houses spontaneously make messes I REALLY don't get cleaning for the maid.

Hey, Grish, I just thought of a new game! Once a month we all comment on each other's blogs as "Anonymous" and the host blogger has to figure out who everyone is!

Nah. Probably too easy.

The only cleaning service I've ever had was my daughter because I knew I wouldn't have to clean for her - and I wouldn't have to hide my valuables - or non-valuables. And a pair of random dirty undies on the floor wouldn't send her screaming from the place. Worked out great for a while. No bathrooms to clean. No dusting or vacuuming to do (that was all I had her do). Then she got too busy and made more money babysitting friends' kids than cleaning my house once a week for $25. Pout.
