Having just returned from Castel Gondolfo after a few weeks of diversity training with His Holiness, I was reviewing the latest entries and encountered the snaps of The Child in bridesmaid's kit. First, a frisson of pleasure upon seeing how well she looked in scarlet satin (although a matching beanie would have been the dernier cri). Next, the stunned realization that, my, isn't she grown up and, MY, isn't she BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Sadly accepting the inevitable corollary that, my, isn't the Cardinal getting a bit frayed at the hem, he must now apply himself to this huge butt of Barolo with touching faith that all those polyphenols will make him fresh and dewy too.
Gotta call 911. Head becoming painfully wedged in collapsing biretta. Shouldn't have chosen the spring loaded stainless steel industrial model. But it went better with the tool belt.
My dearest Cardinal, welcome back. You were desperately missed. Things are so quiet around the dacha without you.

tCongrats to The Child for the win and the winning serve! My female child was also a vb-er, so I can relate. Icebaby...pfffftttt! Spikers - now THAT's a volleyball team name!!
