This and That

I spent most of the weekend in bed with a cold. I could have functioned but I have this crazy belief that if you don't feel well you shouldn't try to ignore it, thus allowing your body the time it needs to heal. I feel nearly human this morning.

I watched a lot of TV. I'm all caught up on "John and Kate Plus 8", know everything you could possibly need to know in order to successfully flip a house and discovered that Mike Huckabee has a talk show on FOX. That's hilarious.

I've settled down a little since the election although whenever I hear the words "President-elect Obama" I start grinning like an idiot. On Tuesday night I was obsessively snapping photos of my TV. It seems kinda silly now but what else was I going to do? History was being made, I was a part of it, you record history, even if it's being played out on a screen. Here are some of my favorite shots of that night:
It's almost like I was there.

Hope you feel better. The only thing nice about being sick is catching up on all the TV you have missed.

Sorry to hear about the cold.
Wasn't it wonderful to watch it unfold on TV? I can only imagine how amazing it would have been in person.

Now if I could only score tickets to one of the inaugural balls. Sigh....

True that, Sage. Although I really think I need some peanut butter.

Caitlin, right? Plus it looks like there's going to be some sort of renewal of vows thing coming

Thanks, KA. And yeah, almost like being there. I was on the cell to Buck while they were there but he couldn't hear me because it was so crazy. And I totally want to go to an Inagural Ball. Surely I have some sort of connections somewhere...

I'm glad you're better. I saw part of the show "say yes to the dress" where kate was picking out the dress for the vow thing.

Your counter thing is still off by 13 hours.

YAY!!! Too much partying. A cold? I'm sure the champagna was very cold.

Air Borne usually helps me to cut em a bit shorter. And ya I saw the report that says it doesnt but gee who paid for that report?

Hopefully its 12 hours sooner.

Get well soon please.

It is hard to move past the election. The campaign was consuming. I'm so full of hope for the days ahead, but there is so much work to be done.
Hope you are feeling better today

Oooh, I missed that one, Anne. Dang it. And I'm not in control of my counter.

Anonyba, I know a ton of people who swear by Airborne but I think it tastes nasty. More a juice/chicken soup gal.

Sling, you can copy my pictures and pretend they're yours. And yeah, of all the sweet things from the night the whole going-to-bed-knowing-who-was-elected thing was awe.some.

I love the shot of the FIRST LADY and PRESIDENT-ELECT hugging. You can just see the sense of relief, happiness and pride on her face.
