I VOTED FOR BARACK OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I have the sticker to prove it. Ran into The Neighbor at the polls. It was nice to share that moment with her.

I also have to say that my polling place is generally best described as "sleepy". Using half of the poll workers are knitting or snoozing. Not today. There weren't lines, yet. (Although I heard one of the workers making provisions for that). But every voting booth was full, folks kept filing in and I'll betcha within the next hour they'll be standing on line to vote.

And that is awe.some.

Have you voted yet? Get out there!

I voted too! I stood in line for a half hour before it was my turn.

I voted against the slots and against the phone tax.

Washington DC tradition: If the Redskins win the game before an election, the incumbant party wins, and if they lose, the opposition party wins.

Anne, I don't follow football either. After you shared your little factoid I had to look up the results of the game. Still. Gotta love the Steelers.

I am proud to call you kin, Caitlin.

Whatdaya think I have to do to get tickets to the inaguration, Anne?

Anyone can go to the ceremony, but start writing letters to Mr. O, for the close up seats, I guess. You going to the balls, too?

I voted for Obama too!!..
Our polling place was in the municipal auditorium, and I was in and outta there in about 15 minutes.
California is a solid Royal Blue state, and I mean to keep it that way.
I have some concerns about that hateful proposition 8 however.
I naturally voted an emphatic'NO',but the polls have it running too close for my comfort.

I voted about 2pm. I was in and out with no wait. My beloved was there before 7 am. He waited about 90 minutes. We both voted for Obama.
I love my Redskins, but if having them lose means the Republicans are out of office it is a good sacrifice.

Yay you, Mom! What a great day.

The voting, it has been accomplished by me, with a proud voting yes for Senator Obama and an equally proud NO on Prop H8.

I actually got a little choked up as I walked back to my car. We SO need something good to come from all this...

Anyway, the polling place was very quiet...but I saw a 3'x5' "yes on H8" sign in someone's yard and it made me want to run to Home Depot for red spray paint in order to adorn it with great big NO-NO-NOs. But I refrained, as this is too historic an election for me to want to sit in the local gendarmarie for misdemeanor property damage. :)

Waited for 2 hours, which beat the folks who waited for four or more hours last week at the early voting stations (some waited for 8 hours). Next time I'm going with an absentee ballot.

I'm very proud of you, Syd. You showed laudable restraint.

Bad Alice, thanks for hanging in there. Sadly, I just found out that this is the last time I'll get to vote at the polls. It'll be all mail in come the next election. That makes me want to weep. I like going to the polls. But if it was going to be my last time, at least it was with enthusiasm, gusto and uh, joy.

I voted today & took all three kids in the booth with me (no school here today). It was too funny-they were yelling "VOTE OBAMA! VOTE OBAMA!" all three wanted to push the button...
