Where's the Arnica?
I was hoping to have a picture of my banshee self to impress you with but alas and alack, it's on someone else's camera. Meanwhile, I couldn't blog all weekend due to extreme exhaustion and an inability to move much.
The carnival was a success. The Hall of Horrors did it's job with no fewer than 20 kids left screaming for their mamas. I had some kids come up to me after and say, "You were scary!", to which I replied, "Good!" One girl complained that we didn't have any witches brew, "like last year".
Meanwhile, there was much hauling and lifting and running up and down stairs which became increasingly more steep as the day wore on. Which is, perhaps, why I'm currently aware of every muscle in my legs. There are, it turns out, quite a few of them.

Poor baby,
I think we were all tired this weekend
What's an arnica?
I hear you on the "wiped out" from the weekend activities fatigue. We did our Halloween Hayride on Saturday evening and then we had Children's Sabbath yesterday at church. It was the Bear's first public performance. What is it about these little buggers that get us all weepy and misty-eyed?
I was so tired yesterday afternoon that I pulled out the big guns for some caffeine - REAL Dr. Pepper. Not that wimpy diet stuff.
Arnica, my darling Jlow, is a wonder not-drug. Derived from arnica montana, it comes in all sorts of forms for both internal and external use. It is used for bruises, sore muscles and to prevent swelling. I swear by the stuff. I just can't find it!
Tubs of arnica in homeopathic doses are actually covered by medical insurance if they dr prescribed them. Even without that, they're only 1€20 a tube. If you can't find any (the co-op? the nature med place on 15th?), let me know and I'll send you many tubes. They also have arnica creams. Maybe try a bath with some sea salt and a lot of baking soda.
Go next door to my house - I have a tube of it in the white cabinet above the laundry basket next to the bathroom.
xo nayb
Do you people see why I love my neighbor?
Nicole, The co-op has it but not at that price. Holy Moses! I love the French.
get well soon
Lorraine! You made it, sore leg muscles and all! Woohoo!
Neighbor, if you're thinking of moving out east, you could be the neighbor of a single gay man that has a distinct need for a person like you, and your medicine cabinet, next door.
I'll throw out the neighbors that are currently there. No problem...
"I would like to point out one thing about my list that is very cool. There isn't a single Dave Matthews song on it."
Was finally catching up on your musings and stumbled across this. Hmmm...not directed at anyone we know, right?
Ed, No. Of course not (you big Dave Matthews lover, you).
