Best Laid Plans
The alarm was set for 6. I envisioned perfect, fresh coffee inspiring today's post, which would be published before The Child got up. That would leave the morning free for a long walk with The Dog, meeting a writing deadline, pungling some bills (on time, by the way), all topped off with a much needed scrubbing of the kitchen floor. Depending on how things went there was also a good chance that some vegetable seeds would making it into the prepared kitchen gardens.
I woke up with the most sick-making, eye-blinding, how-did-these-bird-talons-get-stuck-in-my brain, fiendish headache. So screw it all. I'm going back to bed.

Hope your head feels better. Sleep, then coffee, then exedrin should help. Hey, Catholic question, why are the bells ringing at the church down the street? It doesn't sound like funeral bells. It's almost 7 pm here. Maybe I should just convert.
I share your pain, my child. I wokke uppe with an hedde full of snotte and a colde in my cheste. I've wrapped myself in four copes, a tapestry, PLUS my mitre cozy and am still shivering. Will have to put off my translation of Urbi et Orbi for the Esquimaux until feeling better (by the by, do you know the accusative case of "twee"?). My leech advises a dose of ground pearls in basilisk's milk, and then to bedde.
I dunno. A wedding? A national emergency? If it was a mass you'd have heard them at this hour before. Same with matins or some such. It's not a feast day that I know of...what with Pentecost still being a few weeks away.
I love church bells.
Too late for a wedding, vespers maybe? They did recently just finish a big restoration project on this church so maybe they're just now getting back to their regularly scheduled program. I love them too.
...the words "just another manic Monday" playing all too loudly in her ear...
Hope you're feeling better. No confirmation of the indictment yet. Sigh.
Talon headaches are the worst.
Feel better at this time. Thank you.
Cardinal Sin, I have been looking over your Mass in G Minor for Flugelhorn and Cowbells. It is very nice. But I am not sure that the stuccato sitar strikes quite the right note in the "Kyrie". Also, the samovar is making that very odd thumping noise again.
Hope your feeling better today.
Oh, I know it's weak. I had nothing left to give after completing the "Hey nonny nonny" section.
