Begging the Question
Alright, so a number of you commented on this morning's post about the NY Times. But not a single one of you made any reference to the link within. Maybe I was too subtle. Lord knows, I'm accused of that all the time. So just in case you missed the fact that my entire post was just a run up to getting you to read something fabulous, let me run it again.
Please. Go read THIS.
You can thank me later.
And btw, "this" is actually a very funny looking word.

Sorry, sorry, I DID read your post and I actually DID click on the link and I DID read most of the article... but whilst reading it I thought to myself, 'This is to do with American politics; had my American friend written it, I would have understood it better,' which is why I didn't refer to it in my comment.
Well, yes, Dariush, that is a particularly American piece. I forget that I have an international readership. (That sounds very grand. I'm including Canada).
Also, I enjoy the designation of "American friend". Which reminds me, I so owe you an email. Perhaps you should change it to "bad American friend".
much better link LOL
See? I knew I was too subtle. I couldn't believe no one had any Colbert comments.
I'm in a foreign country as well..... Florida.
colbert is running... but only in south carolina :)
i saw the link the first time.
i read it the first time.
did not read it the second time.
i don't do politics, my little blond brain can't grasp the nuances of abstract stuff. just don't start a war and i'm happy. i'm a logic person, give me a sudoku and i'm even happier.
and don't ask me to use the shift key, either.
I read your piece, but didn't see any links. Could you highlight it with emoticons from Guangdong?
(this was very funny btw! :) )
Twisi, yes, yes you are.
That guy cracks me up, Monica. Maybe the two of you can headline a show someday.
Anne, I'm with you on the whole "just don't start a war" thing. Suduko not so much. THAT makes my head hurt.
Tater, emoticons from whowhat?
Colbert is hilarious.
And MoDo is on my short list of girls who I want to chase around a desk for fun (if was a guy like Packwood).
"If I was a guy like Packwood"...you crack me up, Iwanski. Plus, totally with you on the MoDo thing. I'D chase her around a desk for fun, too. Just to see how she runs in those stillettos.
