It Takes a Village, Part Deux

"Eek Ack!", as my sainted grandma used to say.

I just realized that when I said advice for the Box o' Wisdom would be collected until 2ish PST what I meant to say was "2ish PST on FRIDAY".

So if you've got somethin' for The Child, leave a comment!

Okay - those are all the quotes I have around my desk.

The Light Of Integrity: The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the full light of day. The content of your character is your choice, day by day, what you choose, what you think, and what you do is who you become. Your integrity is your destiny... it is the light that guides your way."

Okay, nothing witty like jlow (those were great, I can picture Fred and Ginger...and I am more impressed with her now), but true:

Trying to word this right, but basically, be friends with the guys. You will always have friends. You will always have a date when you need one. They will respect you more than the girls they want to go out with. Guys are straight-forward and will tell it like it is (most of the time) and they won't try to steal your boyfriend. Plus, you will get a guy's opinion when you are ready to date and also someone who will stick up for you. Trust me. My best friend for eight years was a guy. And when it came time to part ways, well, we did so as friends.

Oh, I totally 1000% second jessnbekahsmom's contribution! Right on! I was always "the friend", but it worked out well for me. I still have guy friends from 30+ years ago.
