The Obligatory Snow Photos
This was our back deck after about an hour of snow last night.
The Neighbor's apple tree.
The kitchen garden.
Garden pots.
Rosemary.
The rose garden.
The Dog, it turns out, is quite a snow dog. He had the best time running around and nipping at snow flakes.
The Spouse took him and The Child out for a night-time walk. Check out the snowballs that gathered on his furry little paws.
Our Lady of the Snows.
The Japanese maple.
The birdhouse on the playhouse.
The Child off for a morning of sledding.

I love Our Lady of the Snows. The Child looks like she's ready to tackle the hill going up to the High Pasture. And ye gods, you're still suffering from a dearth of rosemary. It saddens me to the core.
These images are beatiful!
SCG: Thanks for understanding about the rosemary dearth. It is our onw great sorrow!
But in'it pretty? It's hitting us as I type this. Keep your tootsies warm (:
*the word verification on this is "HOWUHA" - which immediately makes me hear Joey's voice.
How you doin'?
It's every so pretty. It is making me very happy. Hope you stay warm as well, Eva.
Do you want to hear something funny? It DIDN'T snow here! It snowed in Spokane, and in Coeur d'Alene, and from your pics, in Seattle, but it DID NOT SNOW in Sandpoint. Now how funny is that? It's bitter cold though. 12 or so right now.
You've gotten more snow falls than we have this winter...
but I still have to crack up at the requirement needed for a snow day. :)
Ooooh, I'm jealous.
We're no longer having summer-like days here in DC, but it's still not cold enough to snow.
Last night the front looked like it was blowing to the south, Gina. I don't know if Portland got hit or not. Although if it's going to be as cold as 12 below it sure oughta snow!
I know, Renee. You midwesterners probably would look at 4 inches of snow and think, "Yeah, maybe a warmer jacket" and then be off about your business.
I'll try and send some your way, R7.
Please get The Dog some rubber bootees. He deserves them
I tried to put him in booties - and a sweater -, Charlie, but he said, "No thank you...I'd rather just scamper in it nekkid, if you please". Now he's not just content to get snowball feet; he likes to go out and sit in the snow and then bury his face in it so that he has a snow beard and a snow bum. Silly, wet Dog.
Nice.
Great photo essay.
Thanks, Iwanksi.
Snow days are cool. I used to get up early on potential snow fall nights and wish for accumulation..
Well at least my hair looked good in your photo! Gina is a big baby...it was minus 6 about 4 miles from her house, but no snow for us either...it is 9 right now with the sun out and all seems right with the world of winter! Enjoy your snow. rosemary
Rosemary, You always look beautiful, with or without snow on your tresses!
So beautiful... life is good isn't it especially if there is a wee doggie in the house
Especially with the wee doggie, MC.
