We'll Always Have Paris.

I am so upset I can't see straight.

(Stop reading now if you watch "Gilmore girls" and haven't seen last night's episode).

Like I said, I'm fuming. Lorelie and Chris got married. In Paris. Without Rory. And more to the point, Lorelie got married and it wasn't to Luke. Oh, sure. It sets up some interesting tensions for subsequent episodes but geez. Me no likey.

The good news? Watching the dinner scene, with the Eiffel Tower in the background, The Spouse confirmed officially that he wants us to go to Paris, by ourselves. It'll be the honeymoon we never had. So when we take The Child to Laval in the summer of '08 to spend time with Nicole et famille, we are going to go to the City of Lights. And other places if we have time.

And that's all I have to say. I have to start planning a menu for dinner Monday night with Alan and I'm feeling a little pressure to perform. I know he'll be delighted with whatever I serve him but there's a reputation to uphold.

Is Chris Rory's dad? It's been a while since I've seen the show, but David Sutcliffe (actor who played Rory's dad) is HOT.

Lauren Graham was criminally underused on Studio 60 recently. That was a shame.

Needless to say, I'm already planning the menu for the day you arrive...

Red7: Yep. He's the one. But I don't care. Team Luke all the way (even though what the writer's have done to his character so far this season borders on the criminality of which you speak. And I agree. About the Lauren/60 thing).

Nicole, Bien.

Well, exactly, Alan. Thank heaven you have a different sort of blog now and this meal has nothing to do with your early recollections.

I agree on all aforementioned criminality. Also agree that David Sutcliffe is hot, but not for Lorelai.

Do we really think he's that hot? I guess he was, kinda, some seasons ago when he and Lor were starting to hook up and then the whole Sherry thing happened. But now all I see is a giant, rich roadblock to Lorelie's ultimate happiness. (Oh, and that whole him asking a super-intelligent question in class at Parent's Weekend? So didn't convince me that he has "evolved"). Geez, maybe just for today I should call my blog "Here's the Bitter".

Grish, at this point I say just wait until the series is over (which they say is this year) and just Netflix it from the beginning. The wife will love you for it.

OH MY GOSH I AM SO BITTER ABOUT GILMORE GIRLS!! I'm beginning to really hate it... oh and what was with Marty being all "I don't know Rory."? I was bitter. And everyone knows that Lorelie did NOT want to marry Chris- I mean, did you see her face when he said Welcome home, Mrs. Hayden?! What! And Luke and Christopher are going to have a fight... like four year old boys fighting over a toy truck in a sand box. The writing is slowly but surely going downhill.

I have never watched that one but can really feel your frustration. What a bugger.
:)
Hope the meal goes well.

David Sutcliffe is absolutely smokin' hot. Not that Luke isn't, mind you ... but David made Testosterone and "I'm With Her" almost watchable ... almost.

I've never seen Gilmore girls,Probably because it doesn't have "CSI" or "SVU" in the title..
I will take the advice you gave grish, and catch an entire season on video over some 3 day weekend...I'm anxious to see how they go about solving crimes.

Mols, in a few days we will sit and be bitter together.

Horizon, it's a fine show and if you ever have occasion to rent the previous seasons I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Thanks for your good wishes. (I still have no idea what I'm going to prepare).

Red7, I will grant you your Sutcliffe hotness. But I'm still bitter. (And I'm now probably officially in violation of a certain someone's copyright).

Sling, You'll adore it. They banter suspects into confessions.

I'm sorry that I can't extend more sympathy over the Gilmore Girls fiasco. I'm too busy being upset that Emmitt my-muscles-make-me-dance-like-a-bull Smith stole the Dancing with the Stars title from Mario Lopez (who looks exactly like he did on Saved by the Bell. Minus the mullet).

I understand, Dana. We all have our crosses to bear. Hang in there. (If it helps, I think Gina is starting a support group).

Dancing with the Stars? I'm still upset about Neck-Boy beating out Uli on Project Runway.
