I opened the cupboard under the sink to fetch something and a mouse scurried over the top of the garbage pail.
"What did you do?" asked The Child.
"Screamed, what else?" I replied.
Now I'm going to get The Cat, put her under the sink and wait for the noise to die down.

If the cat can't handle the job, I say get a cobra.
(Warning- Do not let the cobra eat the child.)
And if the cobra gets loose, get a mongoose. And if the mongoose gets loose, get a panther...oh dear, this could get a little pricey.
Not to mention crowded. It's not that big of a cupboard. Or house, for that matter.
